Now accepting: District-wide Artwork from Students, Employees

On behalf of Grand Erie and Director of Education JoAnna Roberto artisans are invited to interpret the district’s core vision—Learn, Lead, Inspire—and what it means to them through art in traditional, digital or permanent mediums that can be displayed on walls within the district.

All submissions are to be submitted to Kaleena Pettigrew, Art Consultant, at kaleena.pettigrew@granderie.ca no later than Friday, April 24.

Guidelines

  • One submission per employee or student
  • Traditional (e.g. drawings, paintings), digital art (e.g. high resolution digital photography, or permanent display (e.g. quilts) that can be displayed on walls.
  • Maximum physical size of 24" x 36" if submitting original artwork
  • Each submission must include a brief artisan statement/description explaining the connection to the core vision of learn, lead, inspire (max 50 words)
  • Grand Erie will print and frame the artwork for installation
  • Each submission must complete the Artisan Permission Form

Recognition

Submissions will be categorized into elementary students, secondary students and employees.

All Participants will receive:

  • Certificate of Participation
  • Selected works will be featured on granderie.ca and in publications
  • The 30 selected participants will be invited to a formal unveiling event 

Selected works will receive:

  • 8" x 10" reproduction, where applicable
  • 12-pack of custom greeting cards featuring their art
  • Token of appreciation

Timelines

Launch Date: February 10, 2026

Submission Deadline: April 24, 2026

Selection Process: May 8, 2026

In-person Event for Gallery Unveiling: May 25, 2026
