Our goal, in Indigenous education, is to provide First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) students with a school experience that helps them succeed. To get there, we start by focusing on four complementary areas: achievement, environment, engagement and well-being.
Achievement: We identify, develop, implement and review strategies to support FNMI student achievement, in collaboration with school and system staff through the Board Improvement Plan.
Environment: We create learning environments that are engaging, inclusive and culturally relevant to FNMI students, parents and community members.
Engagement: We establish, maintain, enhance and review partnerships and community relationships that support the unique needs of FNMI students to reach their full potential.
Well-Being: We create environments that are healthy and that recognize the well-being of mind, body, emotion and spirit of students and staff.
