The following is a reflection on a statement by Terry Fox in Eric Walters' novel, Run.

"If I stopped every time I felt a little bit of pain I'd still be somewhere in Newfoundland." (p, 157-158) Terry said this in Chapter 14. It made me think if every time I struggled or every time I was in pain, if I gave up I wouldn't be who I am today. I kept trying. I kept fighting. I could've given up a long time ago but I didn't. In life there are two choices you can make: you can either give up or keep trying. If you don't even try, you're giving up. Life is hard. It's going to hurt. It's going to be difficult. Nothing is easy, and if it was, you wouldn't enjoy it as much. Success wouldn't make you as happy. You need to stay strong and fight. Eventually you'll succeed. You aren't fighting for nothing. You are fighting for where you'll end up.
