On December 13th, a group of students in Grades 6 thru 8, with Mrs. Silverthorne, Mr. McDonnell and Mrs. Dykstra, went on an exciting trip - over an hour away to Brantford Collegiate Institute! The students watched the amazing musical Aladdin.

With fantastic, perfectly-synced choreography and a stunning vocal performance from all of the singers, it's clear that the B.C.I. drama troupe knew what they were doing! The props were made with a lot of clear attention to detail and function, and the lighting, special effects, makeup, costumes, and sets and backdrops were obviously well thought-through and executed with this magnificent performance in mind.

This was a great kick-off to the upcoming musical that will be presented by the students of Thompson Creek this spring! Mrs. Silverthorne will be directing Seussical the Musical! Auditions start the third week of January, and students from Grades 4 thru 8 are invited to try out. Countless behind-the-scenes roles will also need to be fulfilled: set design, prop building, lighting, sound, stage management, etc. This will be an exciting venture for us, Timberwolves!
