Advanced Placement Programs

What is AP?

Logo for AP program

The Advanced Placement (AP) program allows students to pursue university-level studies while still in high school. In grade 12, students can challenge rigorous AP exams. Many universities in Canada, the United States, and around the world grant credits to high-achieving AP exam writers.

How does AP benefit students?

  • Better preparation for university
  • Enhanced study habits, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Earning university credits in advance saves money

What is AP?

How does it work?

To support the university-level content of AP, schools offer Pre-AP courses or clubs for students in grades 9-11. These course offerings enhance learning and better prepare students for success in AP.

Subject Offerings

Grand Erie is currently offering the following AP/ Pre-AP courses at North Park Collegiate & Vocational School:

  • English Literature
