Centre for Excellence Set to Open

The Grand Erie community is invited to the official opening of the Centre for Excellence: Teaching, Learning and Belonging. The Centre will promote ways of learning that value diverse perspectives, experiences and contributions, offering a variety of programs, resources and opportunities for engagement and reflection.

The grand opening event will showcase the space in action with the theme of Black Joy, celebrating resilience, strength and resistance, and countering narratives of struggle. The event includes an inspiring keynote, interactive programming and live performances shining a light on the joyous moments, cultural richness and artistic expression that comes from Black communities. 

The opening event takes place Monday, January 13.
