Parents play a vital role in education. When parents are engaged and involved, everyone benefits - students, parents and families, teachers, schools, and communities - and schools become increasingly rich and positive places to teach, learn, and grow.
Grand Erie's Parent Involvement Committee (GEPIC) is a great way to get involved in the education of your child from a system perspective. The Committee is a direct link to Trustees and Executive Council by providing advice and important input. GEPIC is comprised of parents who wish to support school councils and other parents across the system.
As parents and caregivers of children in Grand Erie, you have new opportunities to share information and experience through GEPIC. Your insights into the needs of children and the learning environment are invaluable.
GEPIC includes School Council Chairs or Alternate Parent representatives, as well as community members, Trustees and the Director of Education. All GEPIC meetings are open to the public and all Grand Erie parents are welcome to attend.
