Two New Schools Set to Open in 2025

Two elementary school facilities are set to open in 2025, serving the rapidly growing Brantford and Haldimand regions.
Brantford
The new school will be a joint ownership between the City of Brantford and Grand Erie, allowing for multiple uses.

- Location: Shellard Lane in West Brantford
- Expected Opening: September 2025
- Student Capacity: Approximately 650
- Site Size: 7.2 acres
- Amenities: Childcare centre, a public library with availability to the larger community outside of school hours, modern workstations and private study rooms, various learning environments including an outdoor reading garden, a gymnasium, youth space, large meeting room, offices, and a double height atrium and gathering space
- Includes energy efficient mechanical and electrical systems in line with Grand Erie’s and the City of Brantford’s sustainability goals

Caledonia
This joint-use school site has officially been obtained by the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) and Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB).
Details:
- Location: MacLachlan Ave and Whitehorn Crescent in Caledonia
- Expected Opening: September 2025
- Student Capacity: 746 in total. 441 students will be with Grand Erie, and 305 students with BHNCDSB.
- Site Size: 6.18 acres
- Amenities: Childcare centre for infants, toddlers and preschool children
- Expected to break ground later in 2024
