Grand Erie Welcomes Kevin Graham to the Role of Superintendent

Grand Erie District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Graham to the role of Superintendent of Education, effective September 1. 

“I am delighted to welcome Kevin to our Senior Administration team,” said JoAnna Roberto, Director of Education. “Throughout his career, Kevin has demonstrated his commitment to student success and his extensive experience will serve our students, staff, families and community members well in his new role as Superintendent of Education.”

Graham joins Grand Erie from the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board where his leadership and mentorship experience spans 20 years as an educator, administrator and most recently, a system principal. 

“I am honoured to be joining the Grand Erie District School Board as a Superintendent of Education working alongside dedicated educators, support staff and community partners,” said Graham. “As we work to ensure all students are met with success in safe and inclusive learning environments, I am excited to begin in my new role and to learn from everyone across the district. Grand Erie provides many incredible learning opportunities. I am eager to work collaboratively as we support school communities.”

In his role as system principal of learning services, Graham co-led the development and implementation of a plan to begin the work of de-streaming of grade nine courses by enhancing educator capacity and increasing student engagement, achievement and well-being. He also collaborated with the Indigenous Education team to ensure equitable access to learning opportunities, supported the Equity Action Plan, developed reliable and responsible communication systems to support programs, including Specialist High Skills Majors, Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, Dual Credit, Experiential Learning, and other System Programs and initiatives. 

Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 25,000 students in 58 elementary and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk.
