The Grand Erie District School Board is pleased to share news that the Brant County Health Unit, based on the Ministry of Health guidelines, will accelerate the rollout for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine for individuals, including Grand Erie staff, who received their first dose on or before April 18, beginning today (June 7, 2021).

At this time, only staff who have booked their first dose at BCHU can book an accelerated second dose at BCHU, beginning today.

“We are thrilled that the Brant County Health Unit will open its accelerated rollout of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccinations to the community, including Grand Erie staff,” said JoAnna Roberto, Director of Education. “Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to help keep colleagues, students and the wider school community safe and healthy. We thank our health units for their continued collaboration to accelerate this extra layer of safety to keep Grand Erie students and staff safe.”

For those staff who received their first dose after April 18, Grand Erie will continue to work with the local public health units to share information on when additional staff can book their accelerated second dose when they become available.
