Students are asked to THINK

The THINK Campaign is a student awareness campaign that supports character development, bullying prevention and safe, inclusive and accepting schools.

THINK is an acronym for a series of questions that will give students a chance to reflect on their own character and think about the person they want to be and how they want to act.

Is it True? Is it Helpful? Is it Informative? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind?

The campaign encourages students to reflect on their actions before speaking, sending, acting or judging.

Posters and wristbands will be distributed to the schools. Principals and teachers will receive a THINK resource package to use when speaking with students and provide tips on how to incorporate this initiative into other anti-bullying efforts in their classroom and in the school.

Secondary students attended a symposium prior that celebrated diversity and promoted dignity for all. Students were asked their feedback on the campaign and to brainstorm real-life situations that would demonstrate each action: speak, send, act and judge.

The posters that feature Grand Erie students are shown below:

A female student examines her cell phone while other students laugh in the background

A student looks glum while other students appear smiling in the background

Two smiling students stand with a brick wall in the background
