Safe Schools
All students deserve to be safe and to feel safe in school. Whether it is on the school grounds, on school buses or at school events and activities student safety needs to be a high priority. Safety is an essential element in ensuring that each student reaches his or her full potential; students learn and teachers teach more successfully when schools are safe.
Grand Erie District School Board feels that it is important that all members of the educational community share this commitment to safety, and it is only once this is achieved that we can truly live our vision: Growing Excellence… Inspiring Success.

Ministry of Education Launches Survey on Bullying
The Ministry of Education has launched Ontario’s survey on bullying. The survey will be used to gather information from students, parents/guardians, and school staff so that we can better understand this complex issue and help find new ways to make schools safer and more inclusive.
The survey can be accessed here, and closes March 31, 2020.
