Before and After School Programs
Each winter a survey is conducted requesting input from Grand Erie families regarding Before- and After- School needs. Before- and After- School programs are operated by third-party providers who coordinate the service for a fee for the upcoming school year. Where interest is expressed, viability will be determined in consideration of starting a new program.
Before and After School Child Care Survey
Before and After School Child Care programs provide children with more opportunities to learn and grow outside of regular school hours. Not-for-profit agencies already operate many programs in Grand Erie schools for children from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
If your school does not have a Before and After School Child Care program, we are asking parents/guardians to complete a survey by Friday, February 7th, 2020, to determine if there is enough interest to offer a program at your child’s school.
The fees for Before and After School Child Care programs are determined by the provider and can vary with costs ranging from $13 to $24 per day, per child.
If you currently have child care arrangements outside of school hours and are satisfied with this arrangement, we encourage you to remain with this option.
Please note: the completion of this survey does not guarantee that a Before and After School Child Care program will be offered at your child’s school.
