Thursday, May 21, 2026
Three Grand Erie secondary students have been accepted into the Shad summer program, a nationally recognized, competitive program with a focus on STEAM, entrepreneurship, and career exploration.

Lotus Drayton, a Grade 11 student at Cayuga Secondary School, and Ashwin Kronwald and Kealan Hill, who are in Grades 10 and 11, respectively, at North Park Collegiate and Vocational School, were selected through a rigorous application process, and will spend one month at a post-secondary institution building valuable skills and networking with other students from across Canada. Acceptance into the program is a meaningful accomplishment in itself, and what awaits this summer is sure to build on students' academic and career goals.
