Delhi Raiders Return to Winner’s Circle at Norfolk County Fair

Delhi District Secondary School is back in the winner’s circle.  

Staff and students at DDSS were on a mission to reclaim the banner.after their 11-year streak of winning the Norfolk County Fair Young Canada Day overall championships was broken two years ago. They did just that on Tuesday.  

“It’s been a long time coming,” said Justin Van Der Kooi, a member of the DDSS tug of war roster. “We had a couple of years with second and third place, and it’s about time. We put a lot of effort into this, it’s really something we look forward to every year, and it really feels great to have it again, to have those bragging rights.”
