Madison Burr Heading to Minnesota Duluth to Play Hockey for The Bulldogs

Paris hockey player Madison Burr had a bevy of NCAA Division I schools offering her a scholarship but when it came to making a decision, she had no doubt where she wanted to go.

“I went to the campus and I fell in love with it,” Burr said of her visit to the University of Minnesota Duluth, which is where she committed.

“As soon as I got there, I knew. I just got this feeling. I got told by quite a few people, once you know, you know. Once I went there, I knew I wanted to go there for the next four years.”

The Bulldogs, currently ranked sixth in the U.S., are getting a fantastic player with a packed resume.

Burr, a Grade 12 student at Paris District High School, played briefly in her hometown before moving on to play for the Stoney Creek Sabres in novice.
