Remembrance Day is observed annually on November 11 to honour the courage, service and sacrifices of those who have served Canada during times of war, conflict and peace.
The day provides an opportunity to reflect on the cost of war, the importance of peace, and the diverse contributions and experiences of those who have served. Through remembrance, we honour those who lost their lives, recognize veterans and their families, and carry forward the responsibility of remembering their sacrifices.
