MONDAY, OCT. 2, 2023

A

s students and staff settle into a new school year, a sense of excitement remains. This summer, Grand Erie schools across the region were transformed by detailed renovations, setting the scene for new opportunities to learn, lead and inspire.

Several changes debuted on the first day, beginning with Brier Park. Once an open-concept facility, the school is shifting to a closed floor plan supporting enhanced student focus and security. All bathrooms at St. George-German School received fresh coats of paint and epoxy flooring for a cleaner and more uniform look. Several upgrades have taken place at Grandview Public School and École Dufferin this summer, including updated staff rooms and classroom storage spaces.

"The tennis courts are a huge asset to the school. This is a partnership alongside Kiwanis Field, and to have these courts upgraded is fantastic for our athletics program, physical education classes and for the larger community to use
after school hours."
