Students in Naudia Draus’ Special Education classroom are part of a longstanding tradition of giving back during the holiday season. Each year, the Tollgate Technological Skills Centre class brainstorms ways they can have a positive impact on the world around them.
Elementary students in Southern Ontario will continue with remote learning for another two weeks. The announcement was made this afternoon by Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health, as part of ongoing COVID-19 lockdown restrictions by the province.
With the long weekend coming, Grand Erie District School Board will be taking precautions and asking staff and students to take home any materials required for teaching or virtual learning, and personal belongings, such as eyeglasses, running shoes, or Special Education equipment. 
Parents of students in Grades K-12 who choose to register their child(ren) in online learning will be asked to make a one-time declaration for the entire 2021-22 school year. To support an online learning option for families, Grand Erie will establish online learning hubs for Grades K-8 students throughout the school district.
Grand Erie District School Board is pleased to announce it has reached a tentative local agreement with the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) Teachers’ Bargaining Unit.
