Dear Grand Erie Families,

Roberto_JoAnna-wType.jpgAs another week of remote learning comes to an end, I wanted to reach out and extend my sincere thanks to you, our students and our staff for your extraordinary efforts during this challenging time.

COVID-19 continues to impact all of us in so many ways. Like you, we long for our pre-COVID world. It is frustrating for students and staff alike to not be in school together. We are all missing each other and those daily interactions, routines and activities that make our school communities so special and bring us all together.

As we wait for our post-COVID world to take shape, please know that we are all doing our best. While remote learning is not ideal, every day we are seeing the incredible creativity of our educators and students shine through. We are witnessing the power of our resolve to carry on together and seeing how our relationships extend beyond our school buildings.

With the Ministry of Education now confirming that we will remain in remote learning until at least February 10th, this is a critical time for our students, our staff and our Board. Let’s continue to work together in the best interests of our students, and let’s redouble our efforts to support each other as we move forward.

With gratitude,

JoAnna Roberto,
Director of Education
