Grand Erie Reaches Agreements with Three OSSTF Local Unions

rand Erie District School Board is pleased to announce that it has reached agreements with three local labour unions representing a significant number of educators in the district. All these agreements were ratified by the Board on February 26, 2024, and the term of the agreements span 2022 through to 2026.

  • OSSTF – Secondary Teachers (ratified by the union February 7, representing nearly 600 staff)
  • OSSTF – Professional Student Services Personnel (PSSP) Local (ratified by the union February 22, representing 80 staff)
  • OSSTF – Secondary Occasional Teacher Local (ratified by the union February 21, representing almost 200 staff)

“By working together in a spirit of partnership and with a focus on students, we have been able to reach an agreement in the interest of all parties,” said Susan Gibson, Chair of the Grand Erie District School Board. “Our thanks to all our labour partners involved in these negotiations. These agreements allow us to continue to focus on working together to build a culture of learning, well-being and belonging.”

“We extend our thanks to the leaders and members of these associations for their partnership, and to our local bargaining team for their dedication,” said JoAnna Roberto, Director of Education at Grand Erie. “It establishes labour certainty and clarity that allows us to move forward together to support students and staff.”
