Mel Glaves, Nicole Hamilton, Bea Wilson, Kyle Geerlings and Lindsay Ham have had a huge influence on graduating Brantford Collegiate Institute student Emma Martin who will be fulfilling her dream of a post-secondary school education in the fall at Western University. Glaves, Hamilton, Geerlings and Ham are staff and faculty at BCI while Wilson represents the James Boughner Scholarship. Martin is this year's winner of the Boughner Scholarship. Emma Martin is surrounded by influencers – the kind who can have a big impact on a person’s life.
A graduating student at Brantford Collegiate Institute (BCI), Martin will be fulfilling her dream of pursuing a post-secondary in the fall with financial support after winning the James Boughner Scholarship.
Named after a retired businessman and philanthropist, the $25,000 scholarship is presented annually to a student from one of the six high schools in Brantford and Brant County. To qualify, students must have an academic average of 80 per cent and a financial need.
