

Dr. Susan M. Hill
Haudenosaunee Historian
An associate professor of History and Director for the Centre for Indigenous Studies at the University of Toronto, Dr. Susan M. Hill is an author and historian.
Her studies focus on the Haudenosaunee of the Grand River, from their creation story through the introduction of European contact and the current and continuing land claim negotiations, especially those around the Haldimand Tract.
Dr. Hill earned her PhD in Native Studies from Trent University and, in 2017, published her book The Clay We Are Made Of: Haudenosaunee Land Tenure on the Grand River.
