Another grand school year is coming to an end. Here's everything families need to know heading into summer break.

Hours of Operation

Education Centre (Board Office)

The Education Centre, located at 349 Erie Avenue in Brantford, will be closed to the public on the following dates:

  • Fridays from July 10 to August 21
  • Statutory holidays on July 1, August 3 and September 7

The office will be open to the public Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular hours resume on Monday, August 24.

Grand Welcome Centre

School Registration

To register for school, families can contact earlyregistration@granderie.ca or call 519-756-6301 ext. 287046. Support will be available Monday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or you can register online. Students and families requiring language support can email welcome@granderie.ca.

Elementary schools are closed during the summer. Offices will reopen at the end of August.  

Secondary schools remain open with varying hours during the summer. Please contact the school for more information.

2026-27 Calendars

The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 8. Please review and save your calendar below, which includes all holidays, PA days, and examination periods.

Information Technology for Families

All Grand Erie students and staff have access to digital learning tools like Microsoft 365, Brightspace, myBlueprint and Canva for Education. Learn more about them here. If you have questions, email parent.techsupport@granderie.ca or call 519-756-6301 ext. 287080

Student Records and Transcript Requests

If you attended high school less than 10 years ago, please contact the school you attended to obtain a copy of your transcript or records.

If you attended high school more than 10 years ago, your records have been archived at the GELA Adult Education office at 112 Tollgate Road. In this case, you can request your transcript or records online.
