We hope you enjoyed your summer and are looking forward to welcoming our returning students and new students to Agnes G. Hodge! Due to new registrations that were submitted over the summer, we are still finalizing our class placements. Like last year, student class placements will be shared on the first day of school (Sept 2). As we prepare for the start of the school year, we want to ensure that everyone is informed about our first day procedures to help the day run smoothly for both students and parents/caregivers.

Families will be able to enjoy Carnival Games, Face Painting and Balloon Animals, all free of charge! School Council will also be running their first fundraiser of the year - A Husky Staff Splash! Have your chance to dump a bucket of water on one of our staff/teacher volunteers! 3 balls can be purchased for $2 at the School Council Tent (cash only, please)! School Council will also be selling Blue Raspberry Slushies and Husky Croc Charms! Looking forward to kicking off a great year!
We are asking for your cooperation regarding the early pickup of students. Please note that our office staffing has been reduced from 3 secretaries to 1 full day secretary and 1/2 (morning) secretary. As a result, we will no longer be able to accommodate the volume of unexpected front-door pickup requests after 2:30 pm that we have managed in the past.
Whenever possible, we ask that parents/caregivers pick up their child at regular dismissal time (3:05 pm) on the school yard. This will help us maintain student safety and ensure a smooth dismissal process during one of the busiest times of the school day.
If your child requires an alternative early dismissal arrangement, please contact the office in advance so that we can work with you to establish an appropriate plan. We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of all students.
This year we will be providing students with the following hot lunch opportunities:
Guac Mexi Girll - Only Sept 25th
Lil Louie's - Every Tuesday's (Starting Sept 22)
Dominos Pizza- Every Thursday's (Starting Sept 24)
Dominos Pasta - Last Wednesdays of every month
Booster Juice - Every Fridays (Starting October 2)
We welcome all parents/guardians/caregivers who are willing to volunteer their time to participate on our School Council. School Councils must hold annual elections to identify voting members. Elected members vote on School Council matters and represent the group’s ideas and advisory suggestions for the Principal. Please note that you do not have to be an elected member of School Council to attend meetings. All meetings are open to all parents/guardians who wish to observe.
To declare your interest in becoming an elected voting member of the School Council, please click on and complete the following ONLINE NOMINATION FORM. You may also nominate another parent/guardian of a student at our school to become an elected School Council voting member. All nomination forms must be submitted by Friday September 18, 11:59 pm in order to be elected as a voting member. Once all nominations have been received and if a general election is required, it will take place September 21 to September 23.
Executive officer positions on school councils such as chair, co-chair, secretary, and treasurer will be elected internally by the council voting members at our first school council meeting scheduled to take place in person on Thursday, September 24th 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in our school library learning commons.
