Canada Jay Math Competition

The Canada Jay Mathematical Competition is a national math contest organized by the Canadian Mathematical Society, designed specifically for students in grades 5 through 8. Named after Canada’s national bird, the Canada Jay, the contest encourages problem-solving and creative thinking in a fun and challenging way. It features engaging questions that go beyond standard classroom math, helping students develop their reasoning and analytical skills. Open to schools and individuals across the country, the Canada Jay competition fosters a love of mathematics while giving students a chance to shine on a national stage.

We will offer the Canada Jay Math Competition to interested students in grades 5-8.  The 90-minute math competition will be completed in person in the gymnasium.

If your child is interested in participating, please go to Cash Online to pay the $12.50 entrance fee.  The competition will take place on November 19^th, 2025.  The Cash Online deadline for registering is November 1^st, 2025.
