Kindergarten registration now open to all Grand Erie elementary schools

Brantford, Ont. — The Grand Erie District School Board has opened Kindergarten registration for the 2027-28 school year.

Parents and caregivers can now register children born in 2023 for Kindergarten online or at any of Grand Erie’s 58 elementary schools across Brantford, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk.

“Kindergarten at Grand Erie gives children the opportunity to explore their interests, ask questions, solve problems and learn alongside others. Through purposeful play and engaging learning experiences, children build the confidence, curiosity and skills they need to think critically, be creative, collaborate and adapt as they grow,” said Dr. JoAnna Roberto, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Education Officer.

“We’re delighted to welcome our youngest students and their families as they begin their K-12 journey with Grand Erie and to create learning experiences where every child feels a sense of belonging and is supported to thrive.”

Families can visit granderie.ca/kindergarten to learn more about the registration process, including how to find their child’s home school, required documents, transportation options and an overview of the Kindergarten program.

Once registered, families can sign up for Kickstart to Kindergarten events to help children prepare for the transition to school.
