HOW CAN I HELP MY FRENCH IMMERSION CHILD?

1) Speak to them in French at home if you can; have family and friends who know the language speak to them when possible.

2) Buy them French books and novels from Scholastic orders or through stores like Chapters and Coles who have French versions of new releases and top sellers for their age group.

3) Have a French and French-English dictionary at home that they can refer to and use to complete homework and projects.

4) Read with them or have them read to you in French.
5) Have them spell out new words that they have learned or ask them questions in French when they are studying for tests.

6) Have them watch French television program at home or have them watch the French version of current movies on DVD.

7) Encourage them to continue speaking and studying French...There is a long road of opportunities in their future!!!
