International Co-op programs have a limited enrolment of 20 select students per departure. Applications are considered on a first applied basis and a screening process with precedence given to students from the GEDSB.. Should the number of students that qualify for the program in one given semester be down in numbers, then applications from other Boards would be considered, with the successful candidates enrolling at Delhi District Secondary School for that semester. The screening process involves the completion of an application form, a resume with three references and a personal interview with the applicant and their parent/guardian conducted by Gerry Malo. The criteria for selection includes overall maturity, teamwork skills, enthusiasm, cultural sensitivity, personal adaptability and a commitment to Making a Difference in the World.
