Thursday March 28

  • The Café is open for business! We have a variety of fresh baked homemade cookies, delicious deli sandwiches, and an assortment of beverages. Come down to room 100 during the lunch hour to purchase a tasty treat.
  • Prom meeting today at lunch.
  • There will be a coed volleyball practice on Tuesday and Thursday next week during lunch. Make sure you let Mr. Hamm know you are interested today. There will be a one-day tournament on April 12th at Delhi Secondary and it’s not a regular coed volleyball set-up, see Mr. Hamm today to find out more or Mrs. Backus when she returns next week.
  • Make sure to get all the Spring Sports forms in as teams will be starting shortly. Anyone interested in girls soccer should attend the lunch practice in the gym on Wednesday & Friday next week. All you need is running shoes. We will make plans for outdoor practice after that.
  • Our child and youth worker, Jade, will be running a workshop talking about “The Self”, touching on subjects such as: our inner and outer self, communication styles, self-care, gratitude, our brain, feelings, and thoughts.
    • This workshop will start Wednesday April 3rd during second period.

Wednesday March 27

  • The Hidden Valley Café is open for business! Today, we are serving a delicious grilled chicken sandwich served on homemade focaccia. We also have deli sandwiches, a variety of cookies, cinnamon buns, and beverages for sale. See you in room 100 during the lunch hour.
  • Drama Club meets today at lunch in Room 201.
  • Langton Public School is looking for a photographer for their grade 8 graduation. You will earn volunteer hours. Please see Mrs. Mackenzie if you are interested.
    • Any students wishing to pick up their art work from the display cases from semester one – please drop by the art room to pick it up.

    • Long Point Eco-Adventures is hosting a Solar Eclipse event on April 8th, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us make it a memorable experience for our guests.
    • Here’s a bit more about the event:
    • Date: April 8th, 2024
    • Location: Long Point Eco-Adventures – 1730 Front Rd, St. Williams
    • Event time: 11:00am – 5:00pm
    • Volunteer timeframe: 8:00 – 6:00pm (4 hour shifts)
    • Duties: parking attends & general help
    • Whether you’re interested in astronomy, enjoy helping out at events, or just want to be part of something cool, we’d love to have you join our team.
    • All volunteers will be provided with an event t-shirt, lunch and eclipse glasses!

    • -Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant
    • -Fitness and Health Promotion
    • -Massage Therapy
    • -Paramedic
    • -Respiratory Therapy

  • Mr. Hamm & Mrs. Backus are looking for senior volleyball players to put together a coed team for a one day tournament held on April 12th. We will have 2 try-outs if needed next week.
