Our annual Thompson Creek Terry Fox Run took place on Thursday, September 26th.

The run started off at noon and took place on our school yard. With joy spread through all participating students and staff, the run began. As if on cue, the music started playing which lifted the mood sky-high! Mrs. Maarhuis, along with her daughters, led the Timberwolf Pack to celebrate her own battle against cancer.

During the run, all sorts of activities took place. Photographers were out with cameras, capturing the event. Every time a student finished a lap, he or she was given a popsicle stick; the sticks were used to vote for which teacher would get a pie in the face. When the run came to an end, the votes were counted and our lovely teacher Mr. Cole was up first for a pie in the face! As everyone sat and watched, Mr. Cole was wrapped in a garbage bag then ... SLAM!!! ... right to his face went a fresh pie! Poor Mr. Cole wasn't the only teacher to suffer this misfortune however; multiple other teachers were also slammed with pies. These teachers were Mr. McDonnell, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Donaldson, and lastly, Mrs. Stewart. Overall, the day was full of great success and smiles.

Congratulations for carrying on Terry's spirit, Timberwolves!
