Baking

Kneading dough

Baking processes and skills using the baking ingredients of flour, fat, sugar and sweeteners are used. Students will produce cookies, cakes, pastries, pies, puddings and desserts in an industry-standard bakery.

“This class increases your baking skills and stimulates your creative abilities. It doesn’t get any sweeter than this”

Hospitality and Tourism

Cooking food

Tollgate Hospitality Programs provide our students with in-depth theory and hands on instruction in the expansive Hospitality and Tourism Industry. With emphasis classes in Professional Cooking, as well as Restaurant Management and Event Planning we prepare our students for the work place, apprenticeship, and college pathways.

From entry level positions to management, our students are provided with an opportunity to learn and experience what it means to work in the industry.

Within our fully equipped bake shop and kitchen facilities the students learn to prepare hot and cold baked goods, meals and a large variety of catered foods.

Our senior students experience first hand the opportunity to cook, serve and manage in our full-service restaurant.
