Attendance Counts!

February is all about “Showing Up with Heart.” When students attend school consistently, they stay connected to learning, friendships, and routines that support their overall well-being. We know that consistent attendance is built on strong partnerships between home and school. Every Day Counts!

Great Grain Race! Ready, Set, Go!

Agnes G. Hodge is pleased to announce we will be participating once again in Brant Food for Thought's annual "Great Grain Race". During the month of February, classrooms will be competing among each other to collect the most Ministry approved whole grain products to be used in our school nutrition program. The classroom that collects the most grains will win a pancake party!

All grain products MUST be school safe. Please DO NOT include any products containing nuts. Ministry approved items should be whole grain, whole wheat, or bran, and not have any marshmallows, candy, caramel or sugary coatings. 8 grams or less sugar and 10% or less DV Sodium per 30 gram serving. 

How to Calculate:

Healthy cereals like Shreddies, Cheerios, Life, Corn Flakes, Chex, Quakers Oatmeal. Other Ministry approved grains including but not limited to; Whole Grain or Rainbow Goldfish, Breton Crackers (pizza, original, veggie and dill herb), PC Penguin Crackers, Made Good Cheddar Stars, Quaker Crispy Rice Cakes (apple cinnamon, original, everything), PURPLEsFUI Pre-popped Popcorn (ancient grain), From Farm to Table Ancient Grain Popcorn, Quaker Yogurt (strawberry or vanilla), Quaker Granola Bars (peach, strawberry, apple), Animal Crackers, Teddy Grahams Honey, Annie's Bunny Grahams Honey, Made Good Mornings (blueberry or cinnamon) and Made Good Granola Bars (mixed berry and strawberry)

Term 1 Report Cards and Kindergarten Communication of Learning

We will be continuing the practice of using Secure Document Delivery to email term 1 report cards and Kindergarten Communication of Learning to parents/caregivers. On Monday, February 9th after school, families with email addresses in our student information system will receive an email via School Messenger with a link to download your child’s report. An original signed copy of the reports will be retained at the school in the Ontario Student Record.
