Grand Erie’s Board of Trustees has selected the system’s new leader – a champion to build on the goal of Success for Every Student, and an advocate for students and staff. JoAnna Roberto begins her new role as Director of Education on August 1.
Today, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced that all publicly funded schools in the province will reopen this fall for students to return to the classroom. This decision will be paired with enhanced cleaning and health and safety protocols due to COVID-19.

Grand Erie District School Board is getting set to transition into the new school year following approval of its elementary and secondary school-year calendars by the Ministry of Education. The 2020-21 school year officially begins for students on Tuesday, September 8.

Invitations were distributed to area retirement communities inviting residents to enjoy an evening of good company, music, food, and a surprise appearance by a special guest or two.
Student Transportation Services Brant Haldimand Norfolk (STSBHN) has made strides in reducing the impact of bus driver shortages affecting routes throughout the City of Brantford and counties of Brant and Haldimand, however, STSBHN is still working to ensure all routes are removed from rotating cancellations.
