Get Involved in School Council

One of the best ways to participate in your child’s schooling is by joining the School Advisory Council.

No experience or prior involvement is necessary, and you do not need to be a committee member to become involved. ALL parents and caregivers are welcome to all meetings, and minutes of each meeting are posted on the School Advisory Council bulletin board outside the office.

Join us at one of our school council meetings! The School Advisory Council welcomes all parents and care givers to attend meetings. Discussions include a range of topics and information is provided on what is happening in the school, recent initiatives and parent feedback regarding various issues.

Council meetings are held at the school at 6:30pm. Meetings last approximately 1-1 ½ hours. Our Principal, along with representatives of the teaching staff, join us to give their input.

Student Council

We have a wonderful group of students in grades 6, 7 and 8 who make up our Student Council. Our council consists of four executive members (president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer), as well as three grade 8 reps, two grade 7 reps and three grade 6 reps.

Student Council does fundraising and organizes activities for the student body. Some of their activities are: raffles, contests, pizza days, DQ days, and spirit days such as twin day and beach day. They also represent our school at ceremonies such as Remembrance Day and do charity work such as a local food drive.

The Staff are all proud to have such a hard-working group of students represent the student body this year!
