Learning Resource Teacher's Role in an Elementary School:
<>Coordinates as a priority, programming to meet the needs of exceptional pupils placed in the school on the recommendation of the Board's Special Eduation Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC)
<>Provides special education leadership and consultation for the school staff
<>Acts as an advocate for students with special needs
<>Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and parents of students who have academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs
<>Coordinates the school's efforts to meet the needs of all learners
