Message from the Principal

Welcome to North Ward!

It is with great pleasure that the staff and administration welcome you to our school. I know that you will be as impressed and amazed with our wonderful students, teachers and families as I continue to be.  The children at North Ward continue to be well behaved and enthusiastic about learning.  What a wonderful school!  The staff is extremely proud of the programs we offer our students and the opportunities that we have for parents. We encourage you to make the most of your time with us.

For students, we offer programs that include athletic school teams,  intramural programs, clubs such knitting & chess, and drama productions. Each student in our school is involved in a colour team which is a combination of students from all divisions and staff. Each team works towards gaining points through participation in school activities. Once a month we celebrate the addition of points to our colour houses and the accomplishments of our students over the past month in a whole school assembly.

For parents we offer opportunities to be a part of our Home and School and School Council. Our first School Council meeting took place on Tuesday, September 27th .  School Council meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM.  Any parent is welcome to come to School Council as an observer.

Home and School meets on the first Monday of each month.  Our first meeting of the school year took place on Monday, September 12th at 6:30.  Home and School meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. Please feel free to come out to lend a hand.
