Bad Weather Days AND SCHOOL CLOSURES

WE ARE ZONE 4 (CITY OF BRANTFORD)

AND ZONE 3 (FOR BRANT COUNTY STUDENTS)

IF ONLY ZONE 3 IS CANCELLED FAIRVIEW SCHOOL IS OPEN. IF BOTH ZONE 3 AND 4 ARE CANCELLED FAIRVIEW SCHOOL IS CLOSED.

A reminder to all parents that Ecole Fairview is in Zone 4 and Zone 3 for those living in Brant County for all bus cancellations and school closures. BUSES 503, 504, 505, AND 510 COME FROM ZONE 3 BEFORE PICKING STUDENTS UP IN ZONE 4 FOR FAIRVIEW - IF ZONE 3 IS CANCELLED THERE WILL BE NO PICK UP FOR STUDENTS IN BRANTFORD ON THOSE BUSES. BUS 507 AND 509 ARE BRANTFORD BUSES ONLY AND WILL NOT PICK STUDENTS UP IF CANCELLED FOR ZONE 4. Please listen to Radio Station CKPC ( 1380 AM and 92.1 FM, 1150 CKOC) or CH TV for information on school closures. Please do NOT call the school.

In the event that inclement weather occurs during the school day after the children have arrived at school, The Grand Erie District School Board will make a decision to either close schools or remain open by 12:00 noon. Please listen to Radio Station CKPC or check the Transportation websites for any such announcements. Again, please do NOT call the school for this information. In the event of a mid-day closure, the school telephone lines will be needed to work through our Emergency Phone Fan-Out to contact parents. Parents should note that it is very rare that the school will be closed half way through an instructional day. Again, please ensure that the school has up to date and correct information from parents as to where to send children in the event of an early school closure.This is a parent responsibility to ensure that we have this information.

CLICK ON HOME TAB AND THEN TRANSPORTATION TAB AND LOOK FOR ZONE 3 & 4. PLEASE ALSO CHECK THE BUS DELAY ICON TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY BUS CANCELLATIONS LISTED THERE.
