New This Year:
School Council elections for the next school year will take place on September 20, 2012 (Meet the Teacher Night). (Incoming kindergarten students will receive information in their new student packages.)
What is involved in being an elected member of School Council?
School Council meets 8 times a year. Meetings usually are from 6:00 to 7:30 (sometimes 8:00) on the third Wednesday of the month.
Each parent takes responsibility for coordinating an activity. This includes fund-raising (hot lunch days, Wendy’s Night, magazine sales), teacher/staff appreciation lunch, meet the teacher night, head lice checks, Stone Soup day, etc. Major activities have more than one parent coordinating.
