Grand Erie District School Board accepts International Students wishing to study in Canada and provides both Elementary and Secondary Educational Programs.
The School Year begins in September and ends in June. The student is registered in a full immersion program, in an age appropriate grade, at the school closest to their Canadian Home Stay address. International students attend classes with Canadian students and they have the opportunity to participate in extra- curricular programs.
Many International Students have successfully completed their Secondary School Education with the Grand Erie District School Board and have been accepted at the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo and Queen’s University.
The student is required to provide a valid Student Visa (Study Permit) and payment of Tuition Fees when registering at the school. More information on applying for a Student Visa through Citizenship and Immigration Canada can be found at: www.cic.gc.ca.
To begin the process, the Student (or representative of the student) should contact The Grand Erie District School Board who will provide details how to apply for a Letter of Acceptance – e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please Note: The student would be responsible for their living arrangements during their stay (including, but not limited to Home Stay arrangements, Health Insurance, etc.)
