Green Corner

Bloomsburg is working very hard to be a "green" school. Here are some of the things we are making part of our daily routines this year.

Recycling- Thanks to Mrs. Jacobs we now have our recycling boxes sorted daily. Fine paper is still being collected on a weekly basis.

Terra-Cycling- Ms. Stewart's class is collecting empty drink pouches, theys send them to Terracycles who not only turn the pouches into items such as pencil cases and drink holders, but they also give Bloomsburg money for each pouch sent in. Good for the Earth, good for us!

Campbell's Soup Labels- along the lines, the school also collects the labels from Campbell's soup can, colour house points are also awarded per label. Please make sure to include your child's colour house and number of labels on the bag.

Ink Cartridges- Send in your empty ink and toner cartridges, it not only keeps them out of the landfill, it raises money for the school.

Milk Bags- we are collecting milk bags that will be turned into sleeping mats for people in 3rd world countries. Not only will this help us be a hero to someone in need, but it also helps the environment by putting plastic to good use.

Earth Hour- Bloomsburg's student council will be planning fun filled ways for our school to take part in this event.
